About my photo workflow

In gadgets there are a couple of photo workflow related scripts, for which I describe my own photo workflow here so their usage may be a bit more comprehensible:

  1. downloading photos to computer with Rapid Photo Downloader, photos are put to a preparation directory tree (by months, photo filenames get some additional details)
  2. removing hopeless and/or unneeded photos
  3. copying remaining photos to separate directory tree for original photos
  4. stamping photos with relevant EXIF-information (exinfo-write) in preparation tree
  5. photo editing with LightZonel as necessary, doing special versions (like triptychs and so on, also some photos may be removed at this stage if they just do not work)
  6. transfering photos to archive directory tree and adding keywords (Shotwell)
  7. possible sharing

This may not be the best way to do this, but works for me (using Ubuntu). YMMV.

I'm using Olympus and Panasonic m4/3 gear so scripts are leaning a bit towards that brand. But you can edit them to suit your needs (if they fit at all).
