About my photo workflow
In gadgets there are a couple of photo workflow related scripts, for which I describe my own photo workflow here so their usage may be a bit more comprehensible:
- downloading photos to computer with Rapid Photo Downloader, photos are put to a preparation directory tree (by months, photo filenames get some additional details)
- removing hopeless and/or unneeded photos
- copying remaining photos to separate directory tree for original photos
- stamping photos with relevant EXIF-information (exinfo-write) in preparation tree
- photo editing with LightZonel as necessary, doing special versions (like triptychs and so on, also some photos may be removed at this stage if they just do not work)
- transfering photos to archive directory tree and adding keywords (Shotwell)
- possible sharing
This may not be the best way to do this, but works for me (using Ubuntu). YMMV.
I'm using Olympus and Panasonic m4/3 gear so scripts are leaning a bit towards that brand. But you can edit them to suit your needs (if they fit at all).
