The quality of these pictures is not very good. I hope to get better pictures. In the second picture, the Spitfire is a wedding car.
When I restored the car for the historic car inspection, I wasnīt satisfied with the painting of the car. The car looked great from a distance of a couple of meters, but when I looked at it from near by, I noticed that the groundwork of painting wasnīt good enough. I recived more information and found out the car had been restored in England in 1986 - 88.
In October 1997 I dismantled the whole car " to pieces ". I sanded down the body of the car and I found out, that a hard working period awaited me. I was very angry with the English restoring work. The factory made panels were distroyed with a bad welding. All the welding mistakes were covered by plastic body filler. I opened all the weldings and did them in a new way. I didnīt used many new panels.
Today the body is waiting for the painting. The new colour will be " conifer ", because the orginal Spitfire 1963 didnīt have the colour BRG.
I am going to check the technology of the car as a whole and renew all the worn parts. I hope to get to drive the Spitfire this summer.
