My name is Matti Silfvast and I live in Kokkola, Finland.

I was born in Kittilä, in Finnish Lapland, on the 25th of November 1948.
I have studied in the School of Economics in Vaasa and took my Bachelor of Economic Sciences in 1972. I have worked last as a managing director in the clothing industry. Since 1990, I am retired because of rheumatism in the spinal column.

We have two sons: Markus and Matias

Markus:
born 1976
Student in the Collece of Technology in Rovaniemi. He will be some time in the future a car engineer. One of his hobbies is car racing, of course.

Matias:
born 1981
Student in the Secondary School of Kokkola.
He plays ice hockey on the Hermes Junior Team in Kokkola, and in the summer time he usually plays golf.
