A:

The term "Amis" comes from the Finnish word "Ammattikoulu" - profession school
we're you go instead of highschool. Within this Amis-culture study we concider
"Amis" as s social status and a special kind of youth-culture that really is't that
heavilly related to the education itself. Majority of the Amis-people establish
their social "amis" status even before thet enter any school.

Q: do amis drive 1970's saabs?

A: Rarelly. They mainly prefer 1970's and 80's Japanese cars. Saab is a Swedish car brand.

Q: Are you from finland or something?

A: Yes. But it's been reported that similar culture exists in many post-industrialized countries.
We are studying possibilities to make our site international.

Q: What do amis drink? Is it Koskenkorva? I don't really
know since i live in America. Maybe it is Pontikka or home made wine. It
would be great to see some Amis drinking photos.
